Elijah's First Tooth!

After a lot of work, and many pictures taken, I finally got a good one of Elijah's first little tooth. It's his front, bottom, left tooth. And what a trooper he's been with the whole teething thing. I didn't even know he had a tooth coming in, he handled it so well.

Happy Third Birthday Precious Boy!

I can hardly believe that it's already been three years since our lives changed like we could have never imagined before. Three years ago, we welcomed our precious Jaden into our lives, and it's been a nonstop adventure ever since! I will never forget that incredible day... January 18, 2007...the day that Jaden blessed us with the greatest gift ever, the gift of parenthood. What an amazing responsibility it is to care for, protect, and enrich the life of such an innocent, fragile, and perfect little being! Being first-time parents was no easy task for Sam and I, but thankfully, Jaden was patient with us and has taught us more than any books or Internet ever could!

Thank you Jaden for being in our lives, for loving us unconditionally, for always making us laugh, for your sweet hugs and kisses, for your wonderful smile, for taking long naps, for keeping us on our toes, for loving to be read to, for singing and dancing, for being a wonderful big brother, for using nice manners, for being so inquisitive, for keeping things exciting, for your playfulness, for making us better people, for loving the outdoors, for being so witty, for your sweet innocence, and for just being you!

Happy Third Birthday Precious Jaden!! We love you so much!

Crawling...ish

I've decided that baby calendars need to make a new sticker labeled "Crawling...ish." That's what Elijah's been doing for about the last month or so. I can't put the "Started Crawling" sticker on his calendar because he's just not quite there yet, but almost!! It's the cutest thing to watch. He gets up on all fours and moves his chubby little arms and legs one or two steps, and then...plop! He does a belly-flopping dive to whatever he is trying to get. And somehow he manages to make his way around; but for the most part, he is pretty content just to stay put!
